Tru-Tek Electric Fence Energizers have been used in the agricultural and security market since 1990 and have proven to be reliable, low maintenance machines. Our energizers have been designed to withstand the rough treatment of agricultural and industrial use.

All Tru-Tek products are guaranteed against factory defects for a period of 12 months

The length of a fence powered by our energizer depends on the fence itself, but a generally accepted rule is that one-Joule energy is enough to power 10km of fencing wire. The Tru-Tek energizer generates between six and eight Joules and should theoretically be able to power sixty kilometres of electrified fence. In practice this does not really work and we can safely say that you should be able to power 40km of electric fence.

The output of the energizer is calculated to generate enough power to keep the hot wires live even if the fence is partially short-circuited. Using the energizer on a short length of fence does not mean that the fence will be over powered, but it will certainly be easier to trace a fault.

Power consumption of a Tru-Tek mains energizer is between 5 and 10 Watt or put differently, you can run 10 to 20 energizers at the cost of running one 100w light bulb.

Tru-Tek is based in the Tsitsikamma region on the Southeast coast of South Africa, where each new design is tested for a period of 18 months in unfavourable damp conditions before being offered to the market.

Tru-Tek is proud that our systems are reliable and durable and the maintenance costs are very low. It is our priority to keep overheads down to a minimum to ensure that we are able to pass this saving on to our customers.

We have strived to be as explicit as possible in our D.I.Y.  instructions, but if you find yourself stuck you are not alone, help is but a phone call away.

Technical personnel from our factory man our Help-line from 8 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday. Calls are charged at normal cellular rates in South Africa

It is strongly advised that you read the complete instructions as it contains most of the frequently asked questions.
